Love what you have.
Really love it.
Look around your life and notice what is already beautiful. Enjoy it. Be grateful for it. Remember how much of what surrounds you today was once something you hoped for, prayed for, worked for or couldn’t quite see how you were ever going to have.
And then?
Want what you want.
I don’t believe the two are in conflict.
Wanting more doesn’t mean what you have isn’t enough. You can be deeply grateful for your life and still be excited about what comes next.
In fact, don’t use gratitude to talk yourself out of desire.
I should just be grateful.
Yes. You should.
But who said gratitude means you’re done? 😁
Life grows.
Look at nature. Everything living reaches, expands, renews, becomes.
Why should our lives be any different?
And I absolutely reject the idea that wanting more is somehow shallow.
More joy. More love. More freedom. More wisdom. More money. More experiences. More capacity. More impact.
More gives us something to look forward to, something to create, somewhere to grow. And when we have more, we can do more. Give more. Create more. Make a bigger impact in the world.
Some desires arrive quietly and simply refuse to leave.
They aren’t about proving anything to anyone. They aren’t born from fear, greed or envy. They don’t require somebody else to have less so that you can have more.
They almost always arrive without an explanation.
And without a plan.
They’re just there.
I want that.
And we spend far too much time arguing with them.
How?
With what money?
From where?
Isn’t that unrealistic?
Maybe I should want something more sensible.
Stop arguing.
I believe that when a desire like that is deposited into your heart and your energy space, its presence is confirmation of its existence in your future — should you allow it.
You don’t need to know how.

In fact, 99 times out of 100, I have absolutely no idea how. And that’s part of the excitement.
Because somehow, the how is almost never anything that was on my radar screen.
We get ourselves into trouble when we receive the desire and immediately appoint ourselves Head of Logistics for the Universe. 😂
You don’t need the route.
The physical you only knows what it can currently see. God, the Universe, Higher Power, Inner Being — whatever language resonates with you — knows more.
Your job is to know:
That’s where I’m going.
Ask for it.
Allow it.
Expect it.
And then get on with the beautiful business of loving the life you already have.
There is no need to put your happiness on hold while you wait. There is no need to treat today as the waiting room for tomorrow.
Love where you are.
And want where you’re going.
You don’t need to know how you’ll get there.
That’s the adventure. 😁🌺
