A Little About Me
I’m never quite sure what to say when someone asks
me to tell them about myself.
The easy answer is to tell you what I do.
I’ve spent much of my adult life in business — investment
banking, fund management, advisory work, building
things, fixing things, and occasionally wondering why on
earth I agreed to things. 😂
I love that world.
I love ideas. I love possibility. I love sitting with something
complicated long enough for it to begin making sense. And
conversations that start with “I don’t know if this is possible,
but…” tend to get my attention.
But that’s only one part of me.
I’m endlessly curious about people. About why we do the
things we do. Why some experiences change us. Why
certain people make us feel more like ourselves. Why life
can fall spectacularly apart and, somehow, become
beautiful again.
Perhaps that’s partly why I’ve always been fascinated by life.
I notice things.
Sometimes useful things.
Sometimes completely ridiculous things. 😂
And then I think about them — occasionally for far
longer than the situation warrants.
Some of those thoughts become the conversations you’ll
find here.
And somewhere along the way, I’ve also found myself writing.
Writing isn’t something I do on a schedule. It’s something
I find myself doing when a subject captures my imagination,
inspiration strikes, and I have the time to follow it.
Like when I wrote The Truth About Network Marketing
Revealed. Or when I wrote my thesis, Challenges & Trends
of the South African Private Equity Industry.
I also believe deeply in being led — by God, by that quiet inner
knowing, by the nudge that doesn’t always make logical sense at first
but somehow refuses to leave you alone.
That part of me has its own space here.
I call it The Led Life.
It’s also part of a much bigger vision I’ve carried for years —
NtuliM Global. A vision of people recognising the strength,
wisdom and limitless potential already within them, and what
becomes possible when we begin to live from that place.
And professionally, I still spend much of my time thinking
about businesses, investment, strategy, leadership and how
good ideas become viable, fundable things.
That work has its own home at Mteule Capital & Advisory.
As for everything else?
I suspect you’ll find it in the conversations.
